Color Throwdown Challenge #290

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!!! Tammy is the hostess this week and she picked such pretty colors!! Don't you just love the inspiration photo...the old Pyrex dishes sell for big bucks in antique shops!! I remember when one could buy them new for 3-4 dollars....that was a while ago...LOL!!!

My card features several different stamp sets....the background was created with a stamp from Reverse Confetti's Whole Lotta Dots set and the challenge color inks. The flower was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black using stamps from The Craft's Meow's Flower Garden set, and the sentiment is from Verve's Forever in Our Hearts set. the button and hemp cording finish it off.

Remember, you don't have to use the exact colors.....use what you have as long as they are close to the challenge colors and be sure to add CTD290 to the keywords section when you upload your cards to an online gallery so we can find your creations!!

Handmade with Love

Hello everyone...I had a chance to play in the craft room yesterday and I made a card with the Taylored Expressions April Stamp of the Month called Made With Love and the coordinating dies called Stitched with Love. Since I love to sew and many of my friends do too, this set will be inked up quite often!!

The diecut dress form, sewing machine, and buttons were all cut out with the Stitched with Love dies and adhered with pop dots and glue dots. The sentiment is from the Made With Love set and the paper is from Echo Parks Bundle of Joy 6x6 paper pad. The sewing, enamel dots and hemp cording finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today...I hope you have a great day!! I will be weeding and planting flowers today...my hubs dug me up a large area (24' by 10') in the backyard for a new iris bed. I belong to the American Iris Society and we show hybrid iris....since I bought 20 new rhizomes I guess I will need someplace to plant them. One of these days if I keep buying more iris we won't have to mow...LOL!!
This year I won two second place and one third at our local club show...no blue ribbons this year :(  but I did get to clerk with the judge so I picked up lots of tips and info that will be very helpful for the next show!! Hopefully, I will be able to upload some pics of my iris this weekend!!

Color Throwdown Challenge #288

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge!!!! Melody is our hostess and she has picked such pretty colors...lots of possibilities with this combo!!!

I dug through a bunch of seldom used stamp sets and picked out three for this card. The A Muse set called Seasonal Branch was used for the branch which was stamped with basic gray, the leaves were stamped with gumball green, and the flowers were stamped with melon mambo.  The little owl from the Stampin Up! set called Aviary was stamped with melon mambo, and the sentiment is from PTI's Birthday basics set. The pearls and ribbon finish it off.  Pretty simple but a a perfect birthday card for mailing!!

Windy Tree

Hello everyone!! OMG!! Life sure does get crazy!!!! My cousin and his wife were here visiting for a few days so we ate out for lunch and supper everyday...I feel myself growing by the minute!!! I guess I better eat rabbit food for a few days (maybe weeks) so I can get back into my clothes. It's amazing how the weight just sneaks up on me so all of a sudden I'm carrying around 10 extra pounds...couldn't be all that chocolate I eat....nope...can't be that!!!! Anyway.....

I made a card with the cute little Taylored Expressions Windy Tree die and sentiment...I just love this little tree!! I cut one out of chocolate chip card stock and one out of garden green. The leaves on the brown tree were cut off and it was adhered over the green tree so just the green leaves showed.

The background papers were from Simple Stories A Charmed Life 6x6 paper pad and the background layers were cut with the Taylored Expressions Label Stacklets 8 dies. The corners were cut on the same angle as the diecut and the sewing, sequins, and twine finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today....have a wonderful day!!!!

Supply List:
Taylored Expressions Dies: Windy Tree, Label Stacklets 8
Paper: Choice Snow White (TE), Night of Navy, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip (SU), Simple stories A Charmed Life 6x6 paper pad

Hello everyone and welcome to the Taylored Expressions April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!!! The Baker's Dozen DT is teaming up with the Key Ingredients DT to showcase the April SOTM called Made With Love, the coordinating dies called Stitched With Love, and the April Key Ingredients Kit which contains patterned papers from Carta Bella's Sew Lovely collection and  coordinating card stock.

The Stamp of the Month and the Key Ingredients Kit are monthly subscriptions with three options. You can read all about it here in the Kit Department of the Taylored Expressions Store.

Here are the April  SOTM called Made With Love,  the Key Ingredients  kit, and the coordinating dies called Stitched with Love which are sold separately.

My card featured the sewing machine stamp and the sentiment from the Made with Love stamp set and the coordinating sewing machine, dress form, and button dies from the Stitched With Love die set.
The KI kit patterned paper was adhered to the background layer and sewing was done along the top edge. The sentiment was stamped and the bling was added to the word Love. The buttons were cut out of the KI patterned paper as was the dress form and they were popped up with foam tape.

The sewing machine was stamped with pink pirouette, cut out with the coordinating die, and adhered to another die cut sewing machine cut out of the navy card stock.....the twine is the finishing touch.
